  • Monday

Jeremy and I were invited to Wendy and Wesley's house for lunch today to celebrate Dinah and Kevin's visit. Dinah won't remember any of this visit. She was sleeping in the chair. These pregnant ladies...
I was supposed to make dessert. So I made chocolate cupcakes. The ones that people saw were good. Several others weren't so good. Apparently the oven likes to burn the bottom of things. Really it was the oven's fault.
I tried to make Lime frosting for my chocolate cupcakes because I have an affinity for chocolate and lime. I found a nice recipe on cooks.com and proceeded with the ingredients. It made a very artificial looking green soup. I added a few thickening ingredients to it, and hoped that it would "set" on the way to the Whites. You know they live very far away. It could happen. Well it could, but it certainly didn't. Silly soup. But Wendy had made this lovely Raspberry fluff that perfectly matched the cupcakes.
Later Jeremy bought me a Stewart's Lime Soda.  He likes me. :)

  • Too Many

This is a protest against the overload of daffodil pictures.
Haven't you seen it? It's well meaning people with nice cameras that feel the need to take seventeen pictures of a ladybug or a shoelace at different angles. Don't get me wrong. I like beautiful pictures. This is the joy of digital cameras. The fact that you can take as many pictures as you like and don't have to develop them all. But please seventeen ladybug pictures don't need to be posted. Try to be discriminating and pick the best one or three and use those. Eventually people are going to stop looking at your pictures which would be a waste because that ladybug really was worth looking at. Maybe the principle of the boy who cried wolf applies here.
Or I could just stop looking at photo albums.

    High time.

I haven't written on here in a long time. I don't think that Xanga is dead. Just all the people I know have converted to Facebook. I just noticed that there's a link on the bottom of here. So I now can, "Publish this entry to your Facebook profile."
    First things first.
For those of you that didn't know. Jeremy and I are expecting a baby in August. It's been a rather sick last few months filled with Ginger Ale and crackers, but I'm starting to feel better.  And no, I am not going to post fat pictures. Most of my clothes don't fit me anymore, but Renee lent me a bunch of maternity clothes, and I'm looking forward to all the "new" clothes.
I had a weird dream. We had a baby girl and it was named Mary Jeremiah...I don't think so.
Jeremy's on his second last week of school and then he's done for good!
I made a minor resolution to make one new recipe a week. The reason it's minor is I won't freak out if it doesn't happen. This week I made a Taste of Home chocolate cake. Next week I'm trying for Cheddar and Pepper bread.
Something weird happened to our car. It needs brakes. Or the ones that are there need to be fixed. Sounds really reassuring doesn't it?
I'm still selling Gelato, quite a bit of it actually. Who knew that people like this stuff even in the winter. :^)

  • What no school?

This morning I woke up like normal to hear Jeremy's alarm clock going off. After finding the snooze button twice it was time to get up. Jeremy headed for the shower and I went to toast bagels for breakfast. I found them, and as is the custom when going to toast bagels I peeked through blinds to see if it was nice outside. All I could see was snow! This was supposed to be Jeremy's first day of school, but it was canceled. We ended up having a "real" breakfast of french toast, and Jeremy fixed my dishwasher!
Now what? Does anyone want to come over for cookies?
